A flight in the balloon ride
Is the balloon flying today?
Every morning just before opening and several times throughout the day, our pilots carry out a test flight to check whether ballooning is possible. Using measuring instruments, they determine the day's colour: Green: ideal, no wind at altitude – time to take to the skies! Orange: ballooning is possible, but it could be called off at any moment if the weather changes, so let's make the most of it straight away! Red: it won't be happening today! They take into account the wind at altitude, storm cells within a 50km radius, the presence of cumulonimbus clouds… Our pilots have practical and technical training, and even a licence to fly. It's a proper profession! Are you coming mainly for the balloon flight? Check our website from 10am; we'll be able to tell you if the flight is going ahead.
Will the balloon fly in 3 weeks' time?
Perhaps! It is impossible to predict in advance the specific weather conditions required for a tethered balloon flight. We will only be able to tell you on the morning itself whether the balloon will be flying that day.
There's no wind, but the balloon remains on the ground. Why?
Our park is situated at the foot of the Vosges. It's very pretty, but very windy at higher altitudes! Even when you don't feel it at ground level, sometimes you only need to rise a few dozen metres to be buffeted from all sides! Similarly, in hot weather, especially in the afternoon, we are not immune to treacherous gusts of wind that seriously jeopardise balloon flights. Several times a day, our pilots carry out a test flight to check whether conditions have changed. They are just as keen to fly as you are, but safety comes first!
Is there a refund if the balloon doesn't fly?
If the balloon has to stay on the ground due to bad weather, we offer a virtual reality flight so you can discover the Park from the sky! This experience takes place in the balloon's basket itself

An out-of-date ticket
First of all, please check the expiry date printed on your ticket carefully. If your ticket has expired, here are the different scenarios:
A 2025 ticket
Your 2025 tickets (excluding free invitations or competition prizes) can be extended for the entire 2026 season for an additional charge of €7 per person or €20 for a family ticket.
Simply present your ticket at the ticket office on the day of your visit and pay the difference.
A ticket dated before 2025
Tickets dated before 2025 can be extended for an additional €7 per person or €20 for a family ticket, plus €2 for each additional year.
Simply present your ticket at the ticket office to calculate the difference to be paid.
I made a mistake when buying my MALIN ticket and would like to change the date. Is this possible?
MALIN tickets are neither refundable nor exchangeable. If you wish to change the date, you will need to pay a surcharge of €7 per person or €20 for a family ticket directly at the Park's ticket office.
I won't be able to use my ticket before the end of the season. Can I use it again next year?
Provided it is not a free invitation, you can use your ticket again the following season for an additional charge of €7 per person or €20 for a family ticket.
There is no need to do anything in advance: simply present your admission ticket at the ticket office on the day of your visit to request the extension.
Black Friday tickets:
If you were unable to use your tickets before 28 June, they are not completely wasted. You can extend their validity until the end of the 2026 season, for an additional charge of €25 per set of two tickets.
You don't need to do anything in particular: simply go to the ticket barrier on the day of your visit to pay this surcharge and reactivate your tickets.

What age group is the park aimed at?
Our park is primarily aimed at all children, but also at anyone who was once a child and has managed to retain their childlike spirit. Most of our young visitors are aged between 2 and 12, but there is no age limit on enjoying the poetry of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's work.
Is there a minimum height requirement to enjoy all the attractions?
Whether you're a little one or a giant, there's something for everyone at the Parc du Petit Prince! However, there are a few regulations setting a minimum height for certain attractions. Our thrill rides (The Drinker's Aerobar, Night Flight, Underwater Planet, The Serpent) are accessible from 1m (South Atlantic and Thunder Stone 95cm) for accompanied children. Have you had a look at the map yet? You'll find all the details there! Safety first! Our play areas are sometimes subject to an age limit: the zip line, part of the citadel and the large swing will delight children aged 6 and over. But what applies to the little ones also applies to the older ones! Our bouncy castle is reserved exclusively for children under 1.20m. Children are the responsibility of their parents.
Is the park suitable for children under one metre tall?
It's never too early to discover the magical world of The Little Prince! Thanks to free entry, your child will have the pleasure of travelling from planet to planet, discovering attractions and entertainment suited to their age, and will even have the chance to board our flagship attraction: the hot-air balloon! We particularly recommend the following attractions: Interstice, The Little Prince and the Stork (at the Little Theatre), Tame Me, the Little Train, the animal shows, the Aerousel, The Little Prince 3D, the Volcano, the Boa, the Citadel, Saute-Mouton, the Desert Dew, Draw Me a Sheep, Metamorphosis, the Maze…
Is the Park accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Subject to certain conditions, our attractions are accessible to people with reduced mobility, particularly our flagship attraction: the balloons! If you take a look at our map, you can see the details regarding accessibility. We have introduced the Prince Pass. This is a wristband-style pass reserved for people with disabilities, allowing the holder and three accompanying guests to skip the queues at the attractions. This Pass is issued at the ticket office on the day of your visit upon presentation of a disability card. The attractions that accept the Prince Pass are listed on a small document provided at the ticket office. In some cases, the dedicated queue is marked by a small ‘Prince Pass' sign; in others, you simply need to inform the operator to gain priority access.
Am I too tall or too heavy to enjoy the attractions?
If you are able to use our attractions whilst complying with our safety requirements (such as fastening the harness or safety bar), then you can enjoy all of our attractions to the full! Only the Trampoline Park has a maximum weight limit, set at 120kg.
My child is in a plaster cast; can they enjoy the attractions?
People wearing a plaster cast are not permitted on our thrill rides.
Can my child enter the Park without an adult?
For safety reasons, children under the age of 16 are not permitted to enter the Park without an adult.
I am pregnant; which attractions can I go on?
We strongly advise against using any thrill rides whilst you are pregnant.

It's actually highly recommended! Whether you're after sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, tarte flambée, vegetarian dishes, café food, ice cream or traditional Alsatian cuisine, there's something for everyone. There are nine unique dining spots available in the park and at the Taverne.
Can I bring my own picnic?
No problem at all! There are plenty of shaded areas available so you can enjoy your own home-cooked meals in the best possible conditions. You can leave the Park via the shop from 11.30 am and return to the Park. For those feeling particularly thirsty or looking for a refreshing break, our kiosks offer cold drinks and ice cream to complement your meal.

The entire park team works with the utmost respect for the animals. They are tamed. We do not force them to obey. Taming is something that is all too often forgotten. It means ‘building bonds'. You have to be very patient to be able to approach them little by little, so that they trust us. Most of them roam in semi-freedom and are happy to return home of their own accord in the evening. We are fortunate to be able to offer you a unique acrobatic pigeon show where the animals perform aerial feats, thanks to the time and patience of their keepers.
